Biography

Aceville was formed in 2000. the band started life as a three piece with brothers Richard 'Fresh', Greg and George Freshville with Fresh taking on both lead vocals and guitar. In 2002 a forth member, 'Wils' was introduced to free up Fresh who wanted to focus his energy on guitar and let someone else take the lead vocal role. Wils spent two years on the microphone before leaving in 2004 unable to devote enough time to the band.

The band quickly set about filling the vacant vocalist position and auditioned Matt to try out, subsequently offering him the chance to join the band. This new addition opened up different influences in music tastes, and an alternative style of singing saw the band begin to expand its range of cover songs. In 2005, Overloaded was the bands first original single.

After playing some local talent shows periodically, the band were invited to play as the pre and mid-show entertainment during a show at the Alexandra Theatre in Bognor Regis during the summer of 2006, catapulting the band onto the local gig circuit.

In September 2007, Aceville completed a stint in the studio and recorded their first demo CD containing 3 original tracks and 2 covers. and rounded off the year in late November with a memorable gig at the ship in Aldwick.

2008 saw another good year for the band, touring locally in the first half of the year, supporting our friends Drop Zone on two occasions, sharing a stage with Hymaglobin and playing a bikers festival before taking a short break between August to November.

Our plans for 2009 aim to see us firmly on the gig circuit and matching our rivals as well as plans ahead for a new demo CD to be recorded hopefully later in the summer. If further proof was needed that the band were heading in a upwards direction, in January Aceville announced the addition of Jamie on rhythm guitar bringing an altogether thicker, more authentic sound to their performances.
